According to the USDA’s FGIS report, corn export shipments for the week ending February 12 totaled 1.492 MMT (58.75 million bushels). This was down 7.31% from the previous week and 8.06% lower than the same week last year. Mexico was the top destination at 517,215 MT, followed by Japan with 332,968 MT and Colombia with 133,771 MT.
For the 2025/26 marketing year beginning September 1, total corn exports have reached 35.727 MMT (1.407 billion bushels), which is 44.36% higher than the same period last year.
In Brazil, AgRural reported that the first corn crop harvest is 22% complete, lagging behind last year’s 29% pace. Planting of the second crop is 31% complete, below the 36% pace seen in 2025.
