According to this morning’s Export Inspections data, total corn shipments for the week of 11/27 were 1.421 MMT (55.95 million bushels). This was 49.79% higher than the same week last year but 16.18% lower than the previous week. Japan was the top buyer at 431,700 MT, followed by Mexico with 330,150 MT and Colombia with 187,948 MT. Marketing-year shipments have now reached 18.97 MMT (746.7 million bushels), which is 70.69% higher than the same period last year.
Export Sales data for the week ending 10/23 showed sales declining to 1.8 MMT, sitting in the middle of analysts’ estimates of 1.1–2.5 MMT and 36% below the prior week. An additional 160,058 MT was booked for the 2026/27 marketing year. Total accumulated sales (shipped + unshipped) are now 35.37 MMT, up 37% from last year.
According to AgRural, Brazil’s first corn crop is now 99% planted, faster than last year’s 97%. StoneX trimmed its crop estimate to 134.4 MMT, a 0.6% reduction from the previous figure.
