Chhattisgarh: 74.60 lakh metric tonnes of paddy purchased in the state
In Chhattisgarh, 74.60 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been purchased so far in the current season. Out of this, Delivery Orders (DO) and Transport Orders (TO) have been issued for 46.24 lakh metric tonnes. A total of 21.58 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has already been lifted.
The state has paid ₹16,785 crore to 15.35 lakh farmers through a bank linking system for the paddy purchase. The paddy procurement campaign is expected to continue until January 31, 2025.
This year, a total of 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is estimated to be purchased across 2,739 procurement centers. On December 26, 2.37 lakh metric tonnes of paddy were purchased.
