Mumbai. The Bharat Subcontinent Agri Foundation (BSAF), a leading organization in the agricultural sector, is set to host the fourth edition of the South Asia Agri Forum on January 22–23, 2026, at the Park Royal Hotel in Yangon (formerly Rangoon), the capital city of Myanmar.

This will be the fourth consecutive annual edition of the event. The first forum was held in Nepal, the second in Thailand, and the third in Sri Lanka, all of which benefited entrepreneurs and traders from across South Asia.

The upcoming event in Yangon is expected to be highly beneficial for Myanmar and other participating countries. Previous editions witnessed the robust participation of importers, exporters, traders, manufacturers and policymakers from multiple nations, contributing to the forum’s remarkable success.

Countries that have consistently participated with great enthusiasm include Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Singapore, China, Russia, Sri Lanka, India, as well as several nations from the European Union and Africa.

The South Asia Agri Forum 2026 is particularly significant as it is being held in Myanmar, one of the leading suppliers of pulses and maize to India.

Conversely, Myanmar also imports several key agricultural and agri-related products from India in large quantities, including spices, wheat, sugar, cotton, textiles, agrochemicals and wheat-based products.

By January 2026, pulse crops such as tur (pigeon pea), urad and moong in Myanmar will reach maturity, offering a valuable opportunity to assess crop production and quality. These insights will help shape future trade strategies. The event has consistently proven beneficial for all stakeholders associated with the agri-trade sector.

The two-day forum scheduled for January 22–23, 2026, will feature distinguished leaders including BSAF Chairman Sudharkar Tomar (UAE), Managing Director Vivek Agrawal (India), PSPIL Sri Lanka Director Dr. Mahmood Abdul Kadir, Arab & India Spices Managing Director Harish Tehlivani (UAE),

PBIA (India) President Pradeep Jindal, along with leading entrepreneurs and traders from Bangladesh, Nepal, Canada, Myanmar and India.

Rahul Chauhan, Director of IGrain India, will also participate. All these dignitaries are esteemed office-bearers and members of the BSAF committee and play a key role in organizing the event.
