According to the data released by the Agriculture Department of Gujarat, the area in Saurashtra division, the most important producing region of the state, has decreased by about 11 percent, which is the main reason for the decline in area at the provincial level.

The interesting fact is that except Saurashtra, there has been a good increase in the area under sowing of sesame in other parts of the state, but the area there remains limited.

Went. Even in the central part of Gujarat, the area under sesame increased from 2000 hectares last year to 2900 hectares this time.
