Approval for 100% Tur Procurement from Madhya Pradesh; Mustard to be Procured under Bhavantar Scheme
★ The government has approved the procurement of the entire tur (pigeon pea) crop from farmers in Madhya Pradesh, allowing 100% procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹8,000 per quintal.
★ In addition, the Agriculture Minister has approved a proposal for mustard procurement under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
★ According to estimates released by the Agriculture Department, tur production in Madhya Pradesh is estimated at around 130,000 tons.
