Export Sales data released Thursday showed only 23,521 MT of old crop wheat sold in the week ending March 26, marking a marketing year low. Mexico recorded net cancellations of 56,200 MT, while unknown destinations showed net reductions of 60,100 MT, likely switched to another destination.
New crop sales for the 2026/27 marketing year were reported at 272,839 MT, the highest level for the marketing year so far. Mexico was the top buyer with 172,200 MT, followed by South Korea with purchases of 65,000 MT.
Monthly Census trade data showed total wheat shipments of 1.94 MMT in February, a six-year high for the month and 26.69% above January levels.
