The upcoming week is expected to remain dry across much of the U.S. Plains, from Nebraska to Texas, with SRW wheat areas also seeing limited and scattered precipitation. Temperatures are likely to stay above normal.
Export sales data, to be released Thursday, is expected to show wheat sales of 300,000 to 550,000 MT for the week ending March 12, with new crop sales estimated at 0 to 50,000 MT.
An Allendale survey estimates total U.S. wheat acreage at 44.88 million acres, down 423,000 acres from last year. Spring wheat acreage is seen at 9.68 million acres, while durum wheat is estimated at 2.107 million acres.
