Urad prices fall due to weak demand

Chennai. Urad prices have declined during the current week due to increased selling and lack of demand. Due to the sluggish demand for Urad dal, the purchase of Urad by dal millers has remained negligible. Due to which there is pressure on the prices of Urad. For the Kharif season, Urad was sown in 3.2 lakh hectares till June 28 in the country, which was 2.67 lakh hectares during the same period last year. Due to good rains, an increase in the sowing area of ​​Urad can be seen this year. Due to increased selling by importers and sluggish buying, Chennai Urad witnessed a decline of Rs 50 in FAQ and Rs 100 in SQ per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price at the weekend remained at Rs 8900 per quintal for FAQ and Rs 9650 per quintal for SQ. Similarly, Mumbai Urad also declined by Rs. 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 9000 per quintal at the weekend.
Burma
Due to weak export demand, Burma Urad FAQ declined by $ 15 and SQ by $ 15 per tonne during the current week and the price remained at $ 1065 per tonne for FAQ and $ 1155 per tonne at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the impact of the fall in port prices and weak demand from dal millers, Delhi Urad FAQ declined by Rs 50 and SQ by Rs 100 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs 9300 per quintal for FAQ and Rs 10050 per quintal at the weekend. Madhya Pradesh
Due to increased selling and weak buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh urad witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal in the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Ashoknagar Rs. 6500/8200, Ganjbasoda Rs. 5500/8500, Jabalpur Rs. 8000/9000 and Indore Rs. 9000/9200 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to sluggish buying, prices of Maharashtra urad witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the last week and the prices at the weekend remained at Akola Rs. 9300, Latur Rs. 8000/9200, Barshi Rs. 8000/8800, Jalgaon Rs. 9000/10000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 8500/9000 per quintal.
Others
Due to weak demand for Urad Gota, buying of Urad by dal millers has remained sluggish, due to which, this week, Krishna District Urad in Andhra Pradesh witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 and Vijayawada Urad also witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal and at the weekend, the price of Krishna District remained at Rs. 9450 and Vijayawada at Rs. 9500 per quintal. Similarly, Raipur Urad also declined by Rs. 100 this week and remained at Rs. 9600 per quintal at the weekend.
Urad Dal
Due to the impact of fall in Urad prices and weak demand, the prices of Urad Dal have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 11100/12300, Bhatapara Rs. 11700/11750, Jalgaon Rs. 12250, Meerut Rs. 10600/11100 and Indore Rs. 12000/12600 per quintal.
