Moong prices fluctuate due to lack of consumer support

New Delhi. Moong prices fluctuated during the current week due to slow buying. Moong sowing is going on at a fast pace due to good monsoon rains. Till June 28, moong was sown in 5.11 lakh hectares in the country, which is 54 thousand hectares more than the same period last year. Government purchase of moong has started in Madhya Pradesh. Due to government purchase, a decline in the arrival of moong is being seen in the producing markets. At present, the weather remains favorable for the crop. This year the sowing area of ​​moong may be more than last year. Due to normal buying by dal millers, there was no rise or fall in the prices of Delhi moong this week and the prices remained stable at Rs 8000/8550 per quintal at the weekend. Rajasthan
Due to normal demand, there was no increase or decrease in the price of moong in the markets of Rajasthan during the current week and the prices remained stable at Jodhpur Rs. 6400/8000, Jaipur Rs. 7500/8300, Merta Rs. 8000/8500, Sumerpur Rs. 7000/8000, Nagaur Rs. 7500/8100 and Kishangarh Rs. 7000/7500 per quintal during the weekend.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to the start of government procurement, the arrival of moong decreased in the producing markets of Madhya Pradesh. Due to weak arrival and increase in buying, prices of moong have increased by Rs. 100/150 per quintal during the current week and the weekend prices became Pipariya Rs. 7000/8050, Indore Rs. 8000/8200, Kareli Rs. 6000/8150, Jabalpur Rs. 6500/7600 and Khirkhia Rs. 8000/8200 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to sluggish demand, prices of Karnataka moong have fallen by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the weekend prices became Gulbarga Rs. 7500/8500, Bidar Rs. 7501/7955 and Yadgir Rs. 7000/7600 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to continued selling and weak buying, prices of Maharashtra moong declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Latur Rs. 8000/8500, Akola Rs. 7400/10550, Barshi Rs. 7000/8500, Jalgaon Rs. 8200/10200, Ahmednagar Rs. 7000/9500 and Washim Rs. 7100/7700 per quintal.
Others
Due to normal demand, no movement was seen in the prices of moong in the producing markets of Uttar Pradesh this week and the prices remained at Lalitpur Rs. 7400/7675, Konch Rs. 7200/7500 and Jalaun Rs. 7670 per quintal at the end of the week. Due to increased selling pressure and weak buying, the prices of Punjab moong have fallen by Rs. 150 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs. 7700/7900 per quintal at the end of the week.
Moong Dal
Due to the impact of fall in moong prices and sluggish demand, the prices of moong dal have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs. 10400/13200 in Delhi, Rs. 9850/10350 in Jodhpur, Rs. 10500 in Jalgaon and Rs. 9600/10800 per quintal at the end of the week.
