Under the OMSS scheme, wheat allocation is expected to be 250,000 tons per week in the 10th tender.
★ Sources indicate that the wheat allocation per week could be raised from 100 tons to 150 tons per miller.
★ In previous tenders, the allocation was 100,000 tons (100 tons per miller per week) in the first tender and 150,000 tons (100 tons per miller per week) in the middle tender.
★ I Grains India had previously suggested increasing the allocation.
★ The new wheat crop is expected to start arriving by the end of February or the first week of March in some regions, and the government anticipates good wheat procurement this year, though the prices at the time of procurement remain uncertain.
