Ukraine Sunflower Oil Exports Decline, India Remains Top Buyer
★ In the 2024-25 marketing year, Ukraine’s sunflower oil exports declined to 4.73 million tonnes (47.3 lakh tonnes), down 24% from the previous season and the lowest in the past three years.
★ Despite the drop in exports, India remained the largest buyer. India’s imports rose 44% to 0.767 million tonnes (7.67 lakh tonnes). ★ Meanwhile, Spain’s imports increased 11% to 0.656 million tonnes (6.56 lakh tonnes) and Italy’s imports rose 28% to 0.504 million tonnes (5.04 lakh tonnes).
★ Despite volatility in the global market, strong demand from India helped support Ukraine’s exports.
