The Third South Asia Agri Forum will take place on January 15-16, 2025, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

This two-day event aims to bring together leaders, experts, business representatives, and policymakers from South Asia and beyond to discuss key issues in the agriculture and food sectors. Sri Lanka was chosen as the venue due to its strategic location connecting the East and West.

Organized by the India Subcontinental Agri Foundation (BSAF) in collaboration with the Sri Lankan government, the forum will focus on strengthening regional cooperation, enhancing food security, and promoting agricultural trade.

The theme of the event is "Global South for Global South (GS2)," and discussions will center on improving food security, attracting investments, and increasing intra-regional trade in essential agricultural products such as cereals, rice, sugar, pulses, and spices.

In addition to South Asian countries, international partners from Singapore, the UAE, Australia, the USA, and Canada will also participate.

High-level discussions and potential government-to-government agreements are expected, with a focus on regional cooperation and support in the agricultural sector.
