The weekly NASS Crop Progress report showed that US soybean planting was 67% complete as of May 17, well above the average pace of 53% for this time of year. Michigan was the only state behind the average planting pace. Soybean emergence was reported at 32%, compared to the normal average of 23%.
Brazil’s ANEC increased its May soybean export estimate to 16.1 million metric tons, up by 0.1 million tons from the previous estimate.
