USDA Export Sales data showed soybean sales of 353,259 MT for the week ending March 26. This was lower than the previous week but 35.51% higher than the same week last year. China was the top buyer with 141,000 MT, including 134,000 MT that had previously been listed under unknown destinations. Bangladesh purchased 91,400 MT. There were no new crop sales reported.
Soybean meal sales were recorded at 377,362 MT, which fell within the trade expectations range of 200,000 to 500,000 MT. Soybean oil sales totaled 1,148 MT, also within the estimated range of 0 to 12,000 MT.
Census trade data released for February showed total soybean shipments of 4.195 MMT (154.2 million bushels). This was 34.6% higher than a year ago but 27.93% lower than January. Soybean meal exports reached 1.37 MMT, slightly below the February 2024 record, while soybean oil exports were reported at 71,814 MT.
