New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that weather conditions have undergone rapid changes in recent days. Due to the early onset of the summer season, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds, or thundershowers,

in various parts of the country over the coming days. This activity has already commenced as of March 14. However, temperatures may remain elevated in isolated pockets across the eastern and northwestern regions of the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya between March 14 and 19, accompanied by winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Similarly, rain accompanied by strong winds—or thundershowers—is anticipated in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar, as well as in certain parts of West Bengal.

The hilly states of the northwestern region are likely to experience rain and hailstorms, while showers are expected in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
