News Capsule: India allows export of food and construction materials to Maldives for FY27
★ According to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, the exports are permitted under a bilateral agreement.
★ Exports approved include 230,000 tonnes of rice, 114,000 tonnes of wheat flour, 67,719 tonnes of sugar, and 350 tonnes of pulses.
★ These items will be exempt from any export restrictions during FY27.
★ Shipments will be allowed only through six ports: Mundra, Tuticorin, Nhava Sheva, ICD Tughlakabad, Kandla, and Visakhapatnam.
