Issues in Depositing EMD for the Seventh OMSS Tender – Government Must Take Immediate Action  
The last date for submitting the EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) for the seventh OMSS (Open Market Sale Scheme) tender is today, January 11. However, due to it being the second Saturday, banks are closed.  
Many mills in the country do not use online banking. If the deadline for EMD submission is not extended, these mills will not be able to participate in the tender.  
The FCI (Food Corporation of India) should intervene in this matter immediately; otherwise, the number of mills participating in the online bidding may decrease.
