International Wheat Market
As of June 29, 37% of the U.S. winter wheat crop had been harvested, which is 5% behind the average pace. Crop condition ratings declined by 1% to 48% good/excellent, and the Brugler500 index slipped by 1 point to 329. Colorado saw the largest improvement, up 28 points, while Kansas gained 3 points. Nebraska dropped by 25 points, and Texas fell by 2 points.
The spring wheat crop was 38% headed, 1% behind the average. Crop ratings fell 1% to 53% good/excellent, though the Brugler500 index rose 4 points to 345, reflecting a 1% decrease in poor/very poor ratings. North Dakota and Montana each saw a 2-point improvement, South Dakota improved by 8 points, while Idaho, Minnesota, and Washington saw declines.
Ukraine’s agriculture ministry reported 2024/25 wheat exports at 15.7 MMT, down from 18.5 MMT the previous year.
