ICE cotton futures edged lower into Wednesday’s close, with contracts down 1 to 18 points during the session. Crude oil prices rose by $3.61 to $99.82 per barrel, while the U.S. dollar index increased by 0.725 to 100.055.
On March 17, The Seam reported sales of 15,400 bales at an average price of 64.28 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index increased by 230 points to 78.75 cents per pound.
ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 116,789 bales as of March 17. The Adjusted World Price increased by 6 points last week to 51.50 cents per pound and will be updated again on Thursday.
