International Wheat Market
USDA’s Export Sales report showed 255,208 metric tons of wheat sold during the week ending June 19, falling short of analysts’ expectations of 300,000 to 600,000 MT. This was a 40.26% decline from the previous week and 61.75% below the same week last year. Japan was the largest buyer at 93,600 MT, followed by Mexico at 83,200 MT.
According to IKAR, Russia’s wheat crop is now estimated at 84.53 MMT for this season, up 0.7 MMT from the prior estimate. A South Korean mill issued a tender overnight for 50,000 MT of U.S. wheat.
The European Commission raised its 2025/26 EU wheat production forecast by 1.6 MMT to 128.2 MMT. Ending stocks were lowered by 0.71 MMT to 8.34 MMT.
The International Grains Council increased its global wheat production estimate by 2 MMT to 808 MMT, while consumption was raised by 1 MMT. Ending stocks for 2025/26 were raised by 2 MMT to 264 MMT.
