International Cotton Market:
★ According to the NASS report, as of May 18, cotton sowing in the U.S. has reached 40%.
★ This is slightly below the 5-year average of 43%. About 35% of the crop has germinated.
★ As per SEAM, by May 19, a total of 2,665 bales of cotton were sold at an average price of 63.48 cents per pound.
★ On May 19, ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) cotton stock increased by 2,213 bales, reaching a total of 36,366 bales.
