Pea Market Situation
★ This week, determining pea prices has become a bit challenging, as buyer bids are not clearly available.
★ Yellow peas are still trading around \$10.00 per bushel (delivered to plant) in some regions, but prices vary depending on location and buyer. Some buyers are now focusing on the new crop, while others have stepped back completely, waiting to see how the crop develops.
★ There is still some spot demand for green peas. Prices are ranging from \$15.50 to \$16.75 per bushel (picked up at the farm). However, reaching the higher end of that range is difficult, as such deals are limited.
