Some improvement in the price of peanuts due to limited purchase at lower levels

  1. Peanut Prices Show Marginal Improvement

    • Despite record government purchases, prices remain below the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
    • Limited buying by millers and traders led to a ₹100–₹200 per quintal increase in some markets.
  2. State-Wise Price Movements

    • Gujarat & Rajasthan (Key Producing States):

      • Stable prices in Gondal, Rajkot, Junagadh, Deesa (Gujarat) and Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Merta (Rajasthan).
      • Solapur (Maharashtra): ₹100 increase to ₹7200 per quintal, exceeding MSP of ₹6783.
    • Uttar Pradesh:

      • Jhansi: ↑ ₹100 to ₹4400/4700 per quintal
      • Mauranipur: ↑ ₹200 to ₹4300/4600 per quintal
      • Mahoba: ↓ ₹100 to ₹4000/4600 per quintal
  3. Market Arrivals (March 10–12)

    • Rajkot: 40,000 bags
    • Gondal: 8,000 bags
    • Jhansi: 10,000 bags
    • Mahoba: 9,000 bags
    • Mauranipur: 4,000 bags
  4. Groundnut Seeds Price Movements

    • Bikaner (60/70 count): ↓ ₹100 to ₹7400 per quintal
    • Solapur (90/100 count): ↑ ₹600 to ₹9300 per quintal

      • 60/70 count: ↑ ₹300 to ₹10,100 per quintal
