Gram prices rise due to consumer support

New Delhi. During the current week, the gram market remained bullish. The arrival of gram in the producing markets remained limited, while the availability of imported gram at the port is also seen to be weak. In these circumstances, the buying in the market remained strong, which is supporting the rising prices of gram. Here, the activity of gram dal millers has increased due to the demand for gram flour and gram dal. In view of the demand of the festive season, there is a rise in the purchases of dal millers. If the current situation remains, then further rise in the prices of gram is possible. Due to better demand from dal millers, a good rise of Rs 300 per quintal was recorded in the prices of Delhi gram this week and with this rise, the prices reached Madhya Pradesh line Rs 6150/6175 and Rajasthan line Rs 6200/6225 per quintal at the end of the week.
Port
Due to weak availability at the port and sluggish selling by importers, the prices of imported gram increased by Rs. 250/300 per quintal this week and with this increase, the prices became Mumbai Tanzania Rs. 6050/6075, Nawasheva Australia Rs. 6200/6225 and Mundra Rs. 6025/6050 per quintal.
Rajasthan
Due to strong demand from dal millers and stockists, the prices of Rajasthan gram increased by Rs. 250/400 per quintal this week and with this increase, the prices became Jodhpur Rs. 5100/5650, Jaipur Rs. 6300, Bikaner Rs. 5700/5900, Kishangarh Rs. 5750/5800 and Kota Rs. 5500/5900 per quintal at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to weak selling and continued buying, Maharashtra gram prices rose by Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the weekend prices became Solapur Rs. 5700/6200, Latur Rs. 6000/6150, Akola Rs. 6050, Nagpur Rs. 6000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 5600/5800 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to better buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices rose by Rs. 250/300 per quintal this week and with this rise, the weekend prices became Ashoknagar Rs. 5900/5950, Ganjbasoda Rs. 5500/6000, Sagar Rs. 5600/6000, Katni Rs. 6150/6200 and Indore Rs. 6200/6350 per quintal.
Others
Due to the support of all round rise and strong demand, the prices of Raipur gram registered a rise of Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week and with this rise the price reached Rs. 6125/6350 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, the prices of Kanpur gram increased by Rs. 275 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 6200/6225 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram Dal
Due to bullish support and demand for gram, prices of gram dal have jumped by Rs. 250/400 per quintal during the current week and with this jump, the prices at the weekend became Delhi Rs. 7250/7600, Bhatapara Rs. 7100/7150, Katni Rs. 7275, Gulbarga Rs. 7200/7400, Jalgaon Rs. 7300/7700, Indore Rs. 7150/7250, Jaipur Rs. 7275 and Kanpur Rs. 6900/7000 per quintal.
